every moment
time goes by
every second
not to return
there
did you miss it
another one
passed by
I’ve taken so much
for granted
including time
“Missed Memories”

do you ever realize
you’ve run out of time
you didn’t take enough photos
too little to late?
how do you get past that?
you accept
that IT was enough
that YOU’re enough
and you move on
living one moment at a time
“In Sight Full”
in heaven
I bet there won’t be mirrors
because we’ll be see thru
so why not start here
in sight
is my body
full figured
hanging skin
wrinkles forming
resemblance
outta sight
is my soul
good parts and
bad
renewed and
old
which leaves
my spirit
Free to move
Free to laugh
Free to be love
and soar
I’m not sure
what makes it to heaven
the only thing dying
will be the outside
leaving the goodness of my soul
and spirit
to see through
bringing heaven on earth
through transparency
writing out bad
to get to the good
so the enemy of mirrors
won’t haunt me
and because of the effect
it has here on earth
I KNOW there’ll be laughter
in heaven

it’s a terrible thing
to be in a marriage
and feel alone
how could invisible walls
be so concrete
how could silence
last so long
when one budges
the other moves away
and when the other budges
the one moves away
is there a solution worth hearing
is there advice worth listening to
do the days
turn into years
do the moments
become a lifetime
every time I stretch to jump
the hurdle gets higher
every time I give up
the water rises
and as each of my kids
jump onto a boat
I’m left behind
sinking

in marriage (and relationships)
if you’re on a different page
communication’s muddled
if you’re in a different chapter
you’ll feel miles apart
if you’re in a different book
well that’s another story
“Solitary Confinement”
it’s so easy to say
THIS is why I feel like I do
THIS is what someone did
not realizing
it’s the enemy
planning offense to be taken
so you’ll walk away
from family
from friends
from self
from God
dividing what’s become
into isolation
creating an army
because he doesn’t HAVE one
of his own
there’s much more good than evil
but YOU decide which to focus on
“Strategy”
before you can play chess
you need to learn the game
what each piece can do
and always think ahead
before you move forward
