“Negative”
if I were to look at my life
at what “could’ve” been
I’d go insane
but sometimes I think
that’s what my kids do
and then my heart aches for them

so many people offended
by bathrooms
by prayer dates
as if we need a “day” to pray
look beyond the bathrooms
into the hearts
do you realize
people are changing into
who they want to be
because who they are
isn’t right to them
can you imagine
not loving yourself the way you are
so intently
that you have a surgery to change
finding identity in labels
gender
religion
addiction
label
after
label
instead of in Him
do you think Jesus died
for only those…
do you think He died
for everyone but…
oppression: mental pressure or distress
remember who the enemy is
look past the restroom
look past the calendar
and declare the victory
that’s been won

I wonder what
‘it is finished’ meant
hmmm
let me take a stab at it
‘it is finished?”
whether you believe it
or not
believing doesn’t change the truth
believing establishes it in your mind
and it IS finished

there’s no sadness in leaving
yes I’ll miss friends
even those who aren’t there
but there’s no sadness
my heart’s become full
in following His will
God’s trusted me with little
so look out!

but the heart inside you will be

you become Peace
instead of connected to drama
you become Hope
instead of drowning in fear
there’s so much more
than just believing
it’s a transformation
from one life to the next
