Last weekend, during Activate, I was loving on people with a group in Carlsbad, and along our journey of love, we came across some artists, who had set up shop in a grassy area to display and sell their art. Have you ever encountered a moment when someone else’s passion touched a hidden part of your heart to where you KNEW it was from God? Let me take you to “my” moment. Continue reading
Jesus
“Personal Paradise”
On the mountain
wind blowing freely
a view untouched
By the ocean
the sound of waves
crashing on the soul
In the forest
trees standing tall
praising heaven
In a meadow
the fragrance of flowers
the scent of Jesus
Places in my heart:
where God’s on the throne
where love becomes real
where dreams are destiny
where moments are lived
“ONE Above Many”
Many fruits
ONE Spirit
Many gods
ONE God
Many thoughts Continue reading
To Be Given an Hour
The other day, a friend posted something that said, “If you had an hour to spend talking with someone, who would it be with” (or something like that). I immediately thought of my dad, Paul Bonde. And since then, at different moments, I’ve thought about him, and most of those thoughts have traveled with tears, tears that flow like a river inside but barely show on the outside, tears that speak of joy, sadness, hope. Because I’ve been feeling so much about it, I thought I’d share it with you. Continue reading
At the Scent of Jesus
What happens when you cut God off? I think I found out.
Yesterday morning, on my way to work, I was worshiping God and wondered where He would have me go at lunch. I heard the word ‘down.’ Immediately, I thought of walking down the street towards downtown and didn’t like that idea, so I ignored it, until later.
Surprise of the Heart
Yesterday morning, I went to Crosspointe Life Church to worship with flags alongside Henry and the gang. Before that day, I was told that there was a certain area on the stage for those who worship with flags, so I was excited to be able to join them. When I arrived, I went to the front to ask about where to go and who to join, and I found out that they had made it possible for me to flag on stage alone. I was in awe!
Before I went up, I was on my knees, spending time with God…letting Him know I wanted nothing to get in the way of my worship to Him…no distractions. Continue reading
Similar but Different
Yesterday, on my lunch break, I traveled back over to Balboa Park, and along the way, I asked the Holy Spirit which way to walk. He took me down the path He had taken me down to meet Lee, my homeless friend with a southern drawl, so I was all excited to see him again. My plan was to invite him to our worship gathering that we’re having there today, but as I was walking, God changed my plan. Continue reading
Dancing in Her Eyes
Last night, I went to a pretty amazing home group, and while I was there, a man spoke two words over me. The second word was so profound: “that I was an extravagant worshiper.” It was so right on that I forgot what the first word was, until today. Continue reading
A Friend from the Past
Yesterday, as I was walking to Balboa Park on my lunch break, I was talking to God and asking the Holy Spirit where to go, where to sit, where to walk, and then, I listened and followed His lead, and wouldn’t you know it…amazing things happened.
The first area I sat in was at a distance from my usual spot. Where I was sitting, no one was walking near, but I could see people walking along the street…so many people. My heart’s desire was to sit down with every single one of them, but there was only one “me” and a whole lot of people. I began to soak in the Son by reading my bible, exploring trees in the Scriptures, praying throughout; when, all of a sudden, I “knew” it was time to move, and where to move was across the way.
