sometimes I wish you could be inside me
inside my thoughts of all that He’s done
inside my tears as they well up
thankful
grateful
it’s more than going to church or reading His word
it’s understanding
it’s becoming
it’s living out loud where no voice is needed
it’s listening without judging
it’s loving without wanting
it’s speaking without yelling
if you could be inside me in moments like these
maybe you’d understand the way that I am
and who I want to be
praise
“Glory Cloud”
when I
hear Your Voice
it’s like heaven
when I
look inside
I see
when I
breathe You in
it’s apparent
Heaven’s inside of me
breathe in
look for
listen to
Heaven inside of me
Wanting to be Seen
Yesterday afternoon, I met up with some friends to pray for people downtown. We started from in front of Horton Plaza and followed where the Spirit led us. There were so many amazing stories of what God was doing, but as we were praying for one young man, God told me to write about him.
As we were walking along, one from our group stopped to talk to a man leaning against the wall. I’m not sure if anyone in our group wants to be named, so I’ll leave their names out, but after talking to this young man named Michael, I KNEW God wanted me to write about him, so I asked for his permission, and he said, “Yes.”
[Michael, if you’re reading this, I love you; we all love you; you’re an amazing young man; you’re not just an acquaintance; you’re our friend, so keep in touch; God has amazing plans for you!!] Continue reading
Straight Up Praise
Last night, I grabbed some friends and went to “Straight Up Praise” at the Rock Church in Point Loma, and WOW, was it AMAZING!! I had never been there before and didn’t know what to expect, and the moment I walked in, I knew something was different. Continue reading
A Sobering Moment
When we were at Ocean Beach on Sunday, I had the chance to meet these two beautiful young ladies. They were so drunk…so high, but in the Presence of God, you wouldn’t believe how sober a person can become.
The way they approached us was hilarious! They were, literally, falling all over us, asking, “Who’s the Raiders fan?” (Mind you: I wasn’t wearing “anything” Raiders on Sunday, which is surprising. Normally, I have SOMETHING on that shows that awesome team.) I raised my hands loud and proud and said, “I am!!” They were SO disappointed. They were asking to give that person a hard time, but once they started talking to me, they couldn’t help but love me. Continue reading
