The beauty of our flag
waving in the wind
clouds rise in the background

Our country
has turned her back on God
and walked the other way
will she ever return
to His open arms of Love
destruction
chaos
ground that shakes
and people wonder why
founded in His arms
built in His Love
united in His principles
all forgotten in her lust
America without God
is just another nation
Okay, this post will have a little bit about Lee, so I’ll let him know later, and if he minds, I’ll delete it. When I spend time with God in the morning, HE guides me on what to release out of my heart, and this is what He chose, so here we go.
Let me back up a little: on Tuesday, I wore my pair of boots, and Lee and I spoke a couple of sentences about them that seemed to come straight out of the “Forrest Gump” movie. Continue reading

Sometimes life gets in the way of living. If I sat down and thought about it, there would probably be something to do in the form of worship, prayer, study, etc. every night of the week, and there have been times when I have been caught up in that. Well, this week, I really want to go to a worship thing on Saturday evening, so I’ve been staying home from other events, and it has truly blessed me.
On Monday, after stopping by to check on Lee, I came home to my Carolyn being home. Normally, she’s with her dad. He took so long to pick her up that she ended up staying with me, and we shared some one-on-one time together: we cried (about Lee and my pulled heart); we laughed together…it was good. And last night, I spent some one-on-one time with my Katie. Continue reading
The sound
not a drum
but the beat
of a heart
as it listens
to the music
and plays
anointed
blessed
designed by God
through the hands
of His servant

Beyond the thoughts
there is more life
Beyond the sunset
there is more ocean
Beyond the sunrise
there is more land
Beyond the clouds
there is more heaven
Beyond the voice
there is more feeling
Beyond the tears
there’s a bigger picture
painted by God
more than the eye may see
more than the ear may hear
more than the heart may feel
more than the soul may know
I have always loved the weather…always wanted to experience all four seasons, and I have always appreciated the clouds more than any other characteristic of nature, but ever since I’ve become friends with Lee, I’ve noticed the weather a lot more, and it doesn’t always bring a smile to my face.
The clouds…I absolutely LOVE the clouds. If I had to choose between a sunny day and a grey, cloudy one, I would choose the grey, cloudy one every time. Yesterday, as I was at my desk, I was watching the weather through the window: the trees were dancing in the wind; the clouds were blocking the sun from shining. It was beautiful, so I stepped out onto the balcony and experienced my happiness crash. Continue reading
