Falling into Vision

Yesterday morning, I went to a business workshop that changed the rest of my life. When I started talking about starting a business, quite a few people suggested looking into starting a non profit, and because so many people had that idea, I sought it out to see if it was from God.

In searching His heart for my life, I realized I was to start a business. On the night I decided that, He told me, “Write out your vision, and then, I’ll give you Mine.” I never did my part: writing it out, but yesterday, I believe He did His part. Continue reading →

Hemmed In

Yesterday, as I was making flags, God was speaking to me about the silk of the thread being woven into the material around the weight, and He was relating it with Christ to the church and the husband in the home. “Blooming Late”

sometimes I feel
as if I’ve started too late
what prize have I become
at this age

sometimes I feel
as if I’m failing to sell flags
because of struggle
at this age

sometimes I feel
as if my house
will always be messy
at this age

and then I remind myself
“feelings aren’t truth”

God, Who cannot lie
reminds me to stay
young in faith
wise in decisions
holy in living

He doesn’t see my age
He doesn’t see past sin
He doesn’t see my house
He looks at my heart
and likes what He sees

I’m not afraid to press through
I’m not afraid to move forward
I’m not afraid to grow up in His heart
I’m not afraid to become love

feelings aren’t sin
actions have potential to be

although I “feel” at times
I’m the only one missing out
on the freedom inside of me

living through feelings
is NOT Kingdom Living
living through Truth
IS

“Dancing in the Rain”

there are times I feel the teardrops fall before I tell them no
it’s almost like hope leaks out
I think about failing
about not having rent
about support that’s there and not
then I think about the enemy laughing at my defeat
and I become empowered
I may not know what I’m doing but I know what I’m doing
Hope isn’t about money
or friends
or family
Hope is Jesus
and NEVER leaks out

one more day that the enemy lost and I’ll make flags from VICTORY

Working from Home

Today is my last day at work. Starting on Monday, I’ll be working from home. On May 7th, I started my own business: “Flames of Glory,” and after 5:00 pm today, I’ll be making worship flags full time. I am in awe at how God’s molding me, changing the atmosphere, moving things around, and through it all, I get to bring Him more glory. I’M SO EXCITED!!!
