Love Covers Violation

For three years, since I moved into this place, I’ve left my car unlocked in the driveway. The street has always been safe, until now.

Yesterday morning, when I reached the car to leave for work, I realized someone had been in it: glove box junk taken out, napkins and cigarette ashes on the seat, cd holder open, etc. The only thing worth taking (for a non believer) was the loose change, which the person took. Immediately, I thought, “This won’t affect me. I know who I am in Christ,” and carried on with my morning.

Lee’s Hidden Laughter

When I first met Lee a few weeks ago, he was quiet, homeless, in the sun. I sat with him, talked with him, listened to him, and kept going back to visit him. Up until this point, I wasn’t quite sure what the Holy Spirit was up to, but today, everything seemed a lot clearer in my heart.

When it was time for lunch, I grabbed my folding chair to be able to sit with Lee in the Park and asked the Holy Spirit which way to walk, but by the time I got outside, I had forgotten and walked a totally different way. My destination was the same though, so I kept on going. Continue reading →

I unravel my flags

in the romance I have

how You see me:

Beautiful ~ untouched by the pains of this world
because I’m covered in Your love

Wholesome ~ a virgin of the heart waiting for love
purified by the flow of Your blood

Loving ~ becoming like You more and more
as I listen to the hearts that need You

What You’ve done in my life
pours through every move
and renews every moment
I dance:

in Your sight
through Your heart

A Song in the Breeze

Yesterday in the park, we brought worship and conversation to Lee. As we approached the meeting place, Christine (my friend from work) and I noticed that only Lee was there. I had brought three chairs, so even if no one else showed up, we would be able to site and chat with him during the whole lunch hour. We were excited!

As we grew closer to him, I noticed his “luggage” was nowhere in sight, so again, he had his friend watch it, so he could have a “normal” afternoon of worship. Continue reading →

Lunch with Lee

In case you don’t know, Lee is a homeless man that I’ve become friends with over the last two weeks (I’ve sat with him three times), and on Friday, I invited him to have lunch with me on Monday, which was yesterday, and what an amazing time it was!
