“Turning Around”

I have a thought in my head
and heart
that few people know about

it’s one of excitement
change
and calmness

but a thought doesn’t
do much
by itself

it requires action
sometimes risk
and commitment

as it remains unspoken
it’s heard loud and clear
in heaven

change may seem scary
as a thought
but normal as a step

My Job as a Mother

So many wonderful things happened on my retreat, but many of them are for me and God to know and for you to never find out, but some of them will be shared (as time goes on), and one in particular came to mind tonight.

Unpacking a Bond

On Sunday, after driving everyone home from the porn convention, I climbed into bed around midnight. There was no way I would’ve been able to unpack the van that evening and knew it would be waiting for me in the morning. I was going to call a friend to come help but, but Katie woke up, so I asked her, “Would you like to help me unload the van?” She said, “Sure.” I had no idea where that would lead. Continue reading
