“Chains are Falling”

keys
keys to the Kingdom
the Kingdom is here
chains need to come off

normally
chains have locks
locks have keyholes
to be opened by keys

often
keys make me think of doors
but as I live my life
I realize I have keys

to open chains

chains of addiction
chains of pornography
chains of promiscuity
chains of rejection
chains of religion
chains of sin
chains of unworthiness
chains of unforgiveness

chains
that need to be opened
with the keys
of victory lived

The Ultimate ‘Laugh Out Loud’

Yesterday, as I was working on flags, I used the earphones that came with my iPhone and listened to Graham Cooke speaking over me the things God was telling him…talk about POWERFUL! Recently, I saw the movie “John Wick” and mentioned how I’d like to be like HIM in the spiritual realm. While listening to this word, that’s how I felt. Continue reading

What Faith is Like

I’m sure there are perfect Christians out there, who never agree with fear, never have doubt, never lose track, etc., but I’m not one of them, and yesterday, I made the mistake of looking at my bank account balance…never a good idea, but Nathan wanted some specific food from Sam’s Club, so I needed to check.

When I saw my balance, I thought, “Oh, no! What am I doing! How is this going to make sense! The kids depend on me. What am I going to do?, etc.” It was fast. It was accurate (to the world). It was NOT Kingdom living, and I got sucked right into it. It was crazy. Continue reading

“A Little of Everything”

I know what it’s like to be loved
I know what it’s like to be hated
I know what it’s like to be forgiven
I know what it’s like to be resented
I know what it’s like to be welcomed
I know what it’s like to be in the way
I know what it’s like to be remembered
I know what it’s like to be forgotten
I know what it’s like to taste fear
I know what it’s like to breathe faith
I know what it’s like

“Blindfolded”

when the bills are due and you’re just ‘not there’ yet
when everything you spend cuts into the rent
when your problems point to the promises

no need to worry
no need to fret

another opportunity
to trust
to believe
to listen
to move

walking by faith
leaving everything behind
discovering new land
to live in

Time Redeemed in a Dance

Yesterday, I went to Beach Chapel to deliver some flags and to creep up on Henry (hee hee hee). Both of those things were accomplished, but God had way bigger things in store for me.

“…in store for me”…I can’t even imagine all that God has stored up for me in heaven that He’ll be releasing. It’s astonishing!

Anyway, as I was dancing with flags, I felt the desire to go up on stage but wasn’t sure if I had that favor, so I stayed where I was. Before communion, we sat to pray, and at that moment, Henry motioned for me to come up on stage, so I went. Continue reading

The Captive Thoughts

Yesterday, I had my first customer, who was unhappy about her flags. As she was explaining over the phone why she didn’t like them, she said, “What do I do?” I told her to send them back, and I would refund her money. At first, I was fine, but then, I read something about not letting it affect me, and all of a sudden, it affected me. Continue reading
