“Whispers Of Freedom”

Soft
Words
Spoken over me
Soft
Words
Making me free
Soft
Words
Spoken over me
Soft
Words
Release His Kingdom from me

No excuse to live in bondage
No excuse to live in sin
No excuse to lose the fight
Cuz Jesus died for me to win

Do you hear His voice call out
Do you hear Him say your name
Do you look to Him to step
Or live your life as one big game

There’s a way to move
Inside His heart
There’s a way to listen
And do your part

Just hear His voice
And listen

Soft
Words
Spoken over me
Soft
Words
Making me free
Soft
Words
Spoken over me
Soft
Words
Reveal His Kingdom to me

“Knowing Your Worth”

worth
not something you buy
not something one gives you
not something you earn

worth
something you KNOW
something you believe
something you walk in

when you know the Truth
you’ll never fall for a lie

They’re close anyway, but when their father’s in town, they seem closer, happier, more sure of themselves, and I woke up this morning with a revelation: of course they’re more like themselves; they’re in the presence of their father! And then God began to reveal to me how all HIS kids act, when they’re in His Presence. Continue reading

Social Media Confidence

As I’m quiet with God about what to write about, He mentions this, and I begin to cry. Great! I have a feeling I’m about to be more real than I’d like, but when God says, “Write,” I write, so here we go.

At times, I wish there wasn’t a “like” button or a “follow” button Continue reading

Kingdom Identity

Yesterday, Nathan had picture day at school and wanted to color his mo-hawk with some gold spray. Carolyn helped him with it, and by the time they were done, it looked really cool, but wouldn’t you know it…kids made fun of him.

After football practice, he was telling me how almost all the kids made fun of him…laughing at him, saying he had “blonde” hair. We started talking about the cruelty of kids and how they tease. Continue reading
