because it’s important
to treat every day as a “last”
and make the most of it

Midnight Silence

I think, for me, one of the greatest gifts is when my kids get along.

Last night, we celebrated my birthday early, and that didn’t happen, and (at least) one of them is still upset. You know how I can tell?

For every birthday, my oldest son, Kyle, wakes that person up at midnight to wish them a happy birthday.

He didn’t wake me up. 💔

To See Myself Through Love

When I was teaching the youth group on Wednesday, I said some things that really touched my heart. I even told them, “If you walk out of here with nothing, at least I know “I” got something out of this.”” It’s amazing how God shows us things, and since then, He’s just been expanding a lot.

Tag, You’re It!

One of the things we look forward to as a family at Christmas time is buying our tree because more goes into it than just money.

When we get our Christmas tree, we spend an hour at the lot, so the kids can play tag throughout the trees. They do it every year. The funny part is, this year, we had to go twice! Continue reading

Sometimes, kids are terrified to grow up and become like their parents, but when they realize they don’t have to…when they realize they have a choice to become like Jesus, the peace in their eyes speaks louder than words.
