because it fuels the anger
that controls them
whatever you feed
will never starve
if I were to look at my life
at what “could’ve” been
I’d go insane
but sometimes I think
that’s what my kids do
and then my heart aches for them
For me, it’s easy to let go of the past, but when someone dear to me “catches” it and throws it back at me, THAT’s the hard part and that’s when I crumble.
Well, this is one of those writing moments when I hope it’s private, meaning I hope no one I know face to face will ever read it, so it may seem strange for me to write it, but if I don’t let out what’s going on inside of me, I’m afraid I might drown in tears, so here’s to taking a risk. Last night, Corrie was telling me about this amazing revelation she had. I asked, “Did you write about it?” She said, “No, you can tomorrow,” so here we go.
Corrie absolutely LOVES the beach: she loves the ocean; she loves the hiking; she loves watching her family; she LOVES the sand; and she loves collecting little rocks and sea shells. Well, at a recent time at the beach, she was on the hunt for some little rocks and sea shells but encountered trash instead. Continue reading
