Community Breaks Down Walls

[Written on July 22nd. Normally, I’m better at keeping up with my website, but the day before I wrote this (so Thursday, 7/21/16), we “finally” got a dining room table, so Friday, Saturday, and Sunday were late-night game nights, and the lack of sleep threw me off, so today, I’m catching up with you (or allowing you to catch up with me).]

“May 25, 2016”

some people only like to read articles
others only like to read poems
both reveal the heart

tomorrow my reality becomes real
tomorrow I’ll be married four months
tomorrow I get to see my husband

many of you know
how I fell in love in an instant
with my ex-husband

I flew out to Texas to surprise him
welcomed him into my heart
and we married three days later

he’s on his way to get me
driving from Texas to pick me up
he’ll be here tomorrow

no more missing
no more being-on-hold

my reality becomes real

with a hug
with a kiss
with a smile

believing is knowing

to know someone
what comes from their mouth
what comes to their mind
revealing the heart

is it beautiful
it should be
