What’s in a Song

Recently, I heard a prayer like ‘God, I want to go wherever You go,’ and immediately, I felt differently…in a good way.

I realize we “follow” God and want to go wherever He goes, but it’s really only His voice we’re following because as Christians, He goes wherever WE go. Jesus lives in me…period, and wherever I step my foot, He goes. That’s why we go into dark places…because we release the Kingdom that’s inside of us.

I used to agree with almost everything I heard in church but not anymore. Continue reading

Stairwell of Prayer

So, last night after the Padre game, everyone was headed to the exits. We had sat near the very top and had a long ways down to go. The wait for the escalator seemed ridiculous, so we decided to take the stairs.

As we were walking down, along with a bunch of other people, I overheard a young man celebrating how that had been his first baseball game he’d ever seen all the way through. It was also his first time being sober at one. Continue reading

“Victory of Identity”

they call me victorious
yet friends walk away
they call me victorious
yet bills pile up

victory isn’t about what you have or who you’re with
victory is knowing who you are in Him
the One Who is VICTORIOUS

open your eyes to hear
open your ears to see
and follow your heart

Victorious Nightmare

Last night, I had the weirdest (and scariest dream). Here it goes.

It started off with the church marrying me, Carolyn, and someone else off, but I can’t remember who the someone else was. The church chose the people and set everything up. We were all sitting in a room, and then it hit me: I didn’t even know the heart of the person, which is super important to me, so we all took off, but before we did, we got a hold of the names of who we were to marry, so me and the kids went on a journey to see who the church had picked. To Find the Heart

The scenery on the road of my perspective has changed multiple times and will keep changing, but recently, God has revealed to me one area of my life where it has changed dramatically: the way I see men.

“Whispers Of Freedom”

Soft
Words
Spoken over me
Soft
Words
Making me free
Soft
Words
Spoken over me
Soft
Words
Release His Kingdom from me

No excuse to live in bondage
No excuse to live in sin
No excuse to lose the fight
Cuz Jesus died for me to win

Do you hear His voice call out
Do you hear Him say your name
Do you look to Him to step
Or live your life as one big game

There’s a way to move
Inside His heart
There’s a way to listen
And do your part

Just hear His voice
And listen

Soft
Words
Spoken over me
Soft
Words
Making me free
Soft
Words
Spoken over me
Soft
Words
Reveal His Kingdom to me
