Alternate Endings

December fourth, two thousand and sixteen…a day I’ll never forget.

It was a Friday, and I’d woken up from a bad dream. If I remember correctly, I woke up crying, and it turned out to be one of the most depressing mornings I’d had, and to top it all off, I felt a cold coming on.

You see, during that time, everything was so unsure: the business, my income, our groceries, etc., and the next day, I was scheduled to have a booth at the Rock and had some mixed emotions about THAT. Anyway, it was a tough morning, but I made it through by writing.

“Rhythm of War”

marching
without sound
pursuing
without veering
flowing
without stopping

into a heart

heaven’s armies
join as one
to move in motion
to the one
who’s prayed for

without permission
without defeat
without a plan

of losing

everyone has a song
everyone has a sound
that heaven creates
through worship

“Relation Ship”

my prayer covering’s Heaven
and anyone else who’d like to join

my view is Heaven
in everything I see

my war room’s inside
everywhere I choose to go

my covenant’s with Him
in everything I do

I don’t ask Him what to wear
I don’t ask Him what to eat

Our minds work as one
I think through Him
He thinks through me

sailing through time
as though seconds don’t exist
