I feel like everything I’m doing now
I was born to do
when I write
something happens inside
like a spiritual birth
and I walk away renewed
when I dance
I feel like I’m moving in heaven
free of thought
free of life
free to be me
when I work with women
I feel like every trauma I’ve been through
is their hope
because I’m on the other side
I’m grateful for all that I’ve been through
as a mother
I’m rewarded every moment
of every day
thoughts of my kids and grand baby
fill my heart
when I work with silk
I really feel like I know what I’m doing
even as I learn
like it was meant for me to do
and meant for me to create
when I speak
I feel like people listen
like really listen
and when they walk away
they’ve held on to what they needed
when I laugh
into everyone around me
and when I cry
I think the same thing happens
I feel like I was born to do
everything I’m doing now
When I was teaching the youth group on Wednesday, I said some things that really touched my heart. I even told them, “If you walk out of here with nothing, at least I know “I” got something out of this.”” It’s amazing how God shows us things, and since then, He’s just been expanding a lot.
One thing I’d mentioned is the way I see myself isn’t how others see me. Continue reading
Sometimes, kids are terrified to grow up and become like their parents, but when they realize they don’t have to…when they realize they have a choice to become like Jesus, the peace in their eyes speaks louder than words.
I finally know a mechanic I can trust, and his name is Nacho.
Ever since I first started driving, I’ve encountered mechanical needs, and (almost) everywhere I’ve gone for help, I’ve been talked down to, belittled, overcharged, etc., until now. Continue reading

Yesterday, as I was listening to a teaching, the pastor spoke of loving equally. I was convicted, so much so that I paused the teaching to go spend time with God about it in His word with tears in my eyes. I KNEW I didn’t love equally but started praying for God to show me how.
Many of you may be thinking, “”I” love equally.”” Let’s see! Continue reading
The other day, one of the neatest and one of the worst things happened. Over the past year or so, I’ve been learning a lot more truth and have made it a point to live out all that I’ve learned: in church, on the streets, in my home, etc., and one thing I especially like is the way my kids learn at home.
I never make my kids go to church. I used to guilt them into going on Mother’s Day, Easter, and Christmas, but even that stopped. I never wanted to force them and always felt like it was my job to teach them at home.
When I say “teach,” I’m merely explaining how I live by example. I don’t set them down with a bible, paper, and a pen. I live what I believe and then explain why I’m living it. Sometimes, they don’t listen, but sometimes, they do. Continue reading
