Locking Your Own Chains

Do you ever have those moments where something enters your thoughts, your heart, and you have to do something or else you’ll explode?

That was me about twenty minutes ago, and you’re lucky I didn’t write then. I’ve calmed down some. I’ve spent time with God and still can’t contain what’s going on inside me, so I’m writing it out.

Room for More

Last night, Corrie was telling me about this amazing revelation she had. I asked, “Did you write about it?” She said, “No, you can tomorrow,” so here we go.

Corrie absolutely LOVES the beach: she loves the ocean; she loves the hiking; she loves watching her family; she LOVES the sand; and she loves collecting little rocks and sea shells. A Place to Hide

Earlier this week, something was said to me that wasn’t true, yet it made me cry. I spent time in my bedroom (away from the kids) and cried on my pillow: ready to give up dancing, ready to stay home, ready to be hidden. locks have keyholes
to be opened by keys

often
keys make me think of doors
but as I live my life
I realize I have keys

to open chains

chains of addiction
chains of pornography
chains of promiscuity
chains of rejection
chains of religion
chains of sin
chains of unworthiness
chains of unforgiveness

chains
that need to be opened
with the keys
of victory lived
