Last week, I was at a church service, and a young missionary was sharing about all the miraculous things God had done while on this trip. This person was listing off hundreds of miracles, signs, and wonders: blind eyes seeing, deaf ears hearing, salvations, etc., and then from the congregation, someone yelled out if any dead were raised. There was a slight pause. Since then, God’s had much to say about that. Continue reading

Unexpected Life
Kyle (my son) works security for a popular nightclub downtown, so he tends to get home really late (or really early). Yesterday, he told us some disturbing news that had a good ending…for us. Continue reading

Not Dying Out
When I first learned to make worship flags, it was really tough for me to create. My friend, David, is the one who taught me. I would be in front of the white silk, silent…afraid to put any color on at all. He would be nearby, encouraging me to think of different colors, styles, etc. It was SO hard for me, and then, after I learned, I was on my own.

Overdrawn and Out of Gas
It’s funny: the title of this was my reality yesterday, and I believe yesterday happened, so that I would have this title, and someday, it’ll be the title of a book I’ll write about faith. Faith: it’s in me; I know it; I breathe it; I live it. But there are times, when, the reality of not having much makes fear a temptation, and yesterday was one of those times. Continue reading

Beauty that Waits
Waiting on God is sometimes easy and sometimes hard. Without even realizing it, God revealed that there’s an area in my life, where I’m waiting on Him but with some difficulty.
…a husband, but it’s not what you may be thinking. Continue reading
Surprising Lee
On Wednesday, I went to the park to snatch up Lee, let him shower, and take him to an old car show, but he was nowhere to be found, so yesterday, I stopped by for a visit and caught him off-guard.
When I pulled up, he was resting on his “cart” of bags, sleeping. I gently sat next to him, so when he lifted his head, he was pleasantly surprised. The night before, he hadn’t slept very well because the cops showed up super early and chased him away Continue reading
