You Are Beautiful

“You are beautiful:” those are the words I heard over and over again last night. As I was flagging at Straight Up Worship, Krissi came up and told me how beautiful I was. She just kept saying, “You are beautiful” and wasn’t quite sure why those were the only words she could say. I began to cry and told her, “Because those are the words I need to hear the most,” and God knew that, and even with all those words of beauty spoken over me, this morning, I saw myself as ugly.

Yesterday was my first official day of working for myself, and guess what I did? I went for a hike, worked on flags, and went to a Padres game: three things I wouldn’t’ve been able to do at my old job…oh, and I drove through traffic, but that was a perk at my old job every day, and believe it or not, the traffic was amazing.

Christmas in June

Do you remember, as a kid growing up, waking up on Christmas morning and being INSTANTLY filled with excitement?! I just woke up like that, and I have a feeling…every day is going to feel like Christmas. When I turned off my alarm (which is Nathan’s giggle), my first thought was, “Thank You, God! I get to work from home! I get to make flags!,” and I was so excited! It felt like Christmas morning. This whole weekend felt different.
