Discernment of Doors

I have often prayed, “God, only open the doors you have for me and close everything else,” but for some reason, I have walked through countless doors that weren’t meant for me to walk through, and I’m not sure how that happened. Well, actually, I “know”…just some things aren’t MEANT for Facebook, but if you ask me, I’ll tell you.

Some of you may know that I almost married a man who hated my laughter, thought I was a bad mother, and didn’t like my kids, and that’s only PART of the list of things that were “wrong” with me, yet I said ‘yes’ to almost spending the rest of my life with him. Continue reading

Control Your Soul

Last week, I was sitting at my desk, and the thought of one of my single friends came to mind, and as I thought of him, my body reacted in a way that I don’t allow. In that moment, I spoke to my soul out loud and told it to submit to my spirit, and I told my body to submit to my soul. Then, I told my spirit to listen to the voice of God’s Holy Spirit, and I blessed my spirit with purity, righteousness, holiness, and, in an instant, the arousal went away. Is it that easy? Yes! Nowhere in Sight

Yesterday, I was a little excited to see Lee because I bought those fruit slice jelly candies for us to share. Those are always super yummy, and I hadn’t bought them for us before, so I looked forward to seeing his reaction. Some of his reactions to food are priceless. As I walked closer to the statues, he was nowhere to be found…odd.

I set the bag down for a moment and waited, but he wasn’t in view anywhere. Since it had been a little cloudy, I thought maybe he stayed on the other side to stay out of the possible rain. When I reached where he sleeps at the museums, he was nowhere in sight, so back over the bridge I went. I was hoping maybe he was in the restroom or something. When I arrived back at the statues, he was nowhere to be found, so I called a friend.
