When I think about all that God has done, all that He is doing, and all the possibilities ahead, I become overwhelmed at how good God is and how His plan has been unfolding. I know the exact day that I will be working from home, but He’s not keeping me at home to use me less, He’s opened up my schedule to use me more.
Since he doesn’t want to be mentioned on Facebook, I’ll write generally. I have a “friend” in the park, whom I eat lunch with everyday. He has known God’s plan all along. He’s sat there and listened to my tears of fear and encouraged me along the way. When we talked about my last day, he said, “Well, you won’t have a reason to drive down here anymore.” I explained how I still need to eat, how the park is a perfect place to take a break, and how “he” is reason enough to make the drive. Now, there won’t be a forty minute time limit. There’s so much room for God to move!
Anyway, FOR YEARS, I have been wanting to visit my mom but haven’t had the money to get to her. Last year, I was fed-up and declared that, in 2015, I would see them both…alive (I wanted to be specific about that part), so my mom and I have been so excited. We weren’t sure “how” it would happen. We just knew, by declaring it, that it “would” happen, and wouldn’t you know it…it’s going to happen.
My mom lives in Alabama, and the older kids’ dad, Scott, said he would buy me round trip tickets. All I have to do is pick the dates. As I was telling my “friend” about this yesterday, he lit up. I think he has family there and will try to save up any money offered to him to buy a one way ticket there. Wouldn’t that be awesome!
I’m not sure if any of you know, but I have the best mom in the world! God has healed so much in our relationship, and this has all happened while we’ve lived two thousand miles apart, and for a very long time, I’ve wanted to hold her face and look into her eyes, and I will be able to do that this summer…AMAZING!!! Hopefully, while I’m there, I’ll get to light Alabama on fire with some Flames of Glory! I’m so excited!!!!!
