Recently, I saw the ever-so-popular movie “War Room.” Although it was a great movie, I watched and walked away with some different insight that may or may not be taken well. (I’m sure I’ll find out.)
Ever since I saw the movie, I’ve known that God was going to have me write about it. I can always tell, but this time, I wasn’t as excited about it because it may be controversial, which, up until six months ago, I thought was a bad thing, but Kyle taught me differently, so with an open heart and a closed mind, I’ll share with you my insight.
This movie put so much emphasis on having a “room” to pray in, and it caused me to think about those who don’t have a “room” to spare. I walked out of that theater, as if I’d seen it for the first time not knowing what I know. I thought about my home and how there wasn’t a closet for me to set up as a prayer room, and then I thought about what that might’ve felt like. The outcome was discouraging.
Again, this was my personal insight with a very personal God. I’m not picking apart the movie. It was great. I loved the message, one that needed to be heard. Since watching it, I’ve just put myself in other’s shoes at different moments.
The bottom line is, the room to war in is in your heart and can be accessed at any moment of any time of any day or night. It’s actually designed to live in all the time.
If someone out there feels discouraged that they don’t have a “war room,” be blessed to know that you have a room to war in inside of you, and NOTHING compares to the beauty of knowing that!
