Never Homeless

You know, over the past year, I’ve never agreed with the knowledge that I’m an “alien” here on earth because I feel very much at home.

God is my home, and He lives inside me, so everywhere I go, I’m at home. It’s just the way I think, feel, know, believe, etc.

Last night, Henry Haney started singing “I am home.” I loved it because I “am” at home every moment of every day because God will never leave me.

Wanting to be Seen

Yesterday afternoon, I met up with some friends to pray for people downtown. We started from in front of Horton Plaza and followed where the Spirit led us. There were so many amazing stories of what God was doing, but as we were praying for one young man, God told me to write about him.

As we were walking along, one from our group stopped to talk to a man leaning against the wall. I’m not sure if anyone in our group wants to be named, so I’ll leave their names out, but after talking to this young man named Michael, I KNEW God wanted me to write about him, so I asked for his permission, and he said, “Yes.”

[Michael, if you’re reading this, I love you; we all love you; you’re an amazing young man; you’re not just an acquaintance; you’re our friend, so keep in touch; God has amazing plans for you!!] Continue reading

Strength of Love

If you’ve been keeping up with my posts, you’d know how time consuming these past few weeks have been, with my ex-husband in town. It took me over a day to recover and almost a week to catch up on flag making. (I’m still not caught up!) During this time, I also haven’t gone to see Lee in the park, and yesterday, God prompted me to do so.

There was a part of me that didn’t know how he would react to my visit, since I’ve been so busy with family and the business, but nothing stops me (normally) from following God’s voice, so regardless of how I “felt,” I took him some lunch. Continue reading

Surprising Lee

On Wednesday, I went to the park to snatch up Lee, let him shower, and take him to an old car show, but he was nowhere to be found, so yesterday, I stopped by for a visit and caught him off-guard.

When I pulled up, he was resting on his “cart” of bags, sleeping. I gently sat next to him, so when he lifted his head, he was pleasantly surprised. The night before, he hadn’t slept very well because the cops showed up super early and chased him away Continue reading

Lunch with “JC”

Do you remember when Lee was pooped on…twice? It cracked me up! It could’ve been when he had asked not to be on Facebook. If that’s the case, let me know, and I’ll post the story. It was hilarious (to me), until “I” was pooped on. Then the funny flew away with the bird. Anyway, during that time, I sort of met Lee’s friend “JC,” and it was not a pleasant meeting. Weather Update

I have always loved the weather…always wanted to experience all four seasons, and I have always appreciated the clouds more than any other characteristic of nature, but ever since I’ve become friends with Lee, I’ve noticed the weather a lot more, and it doesn’t always bring a smile to my face.

The clouds…I absolutely LOVE the clouds. If I had to choose between a sunny day and a grey, cloudy one, I would choose the grey, cloudy one every time. Yesterday, as I was at my desk, I was watching the weather through the window: the trees were dancing in the wind; the clouds were blocking the sun from shining. It was beautiful, so I stepped out onto the balcony and experienced my happiness crash. Continue reading
