After work, I headed to the field to watch my boys practice flag football with the team. It’s so good to be around them, to watch Kyle teach Nathan, and to watch Nathan continue to improve. I am always proud-mommy. Well, on the way there, my right foot cramped terribly. Let me explain.
Back in my dancing days, I wore heels ALL THE TIME. Every now and then, my toes curl up from the balls of my feet and remain stuck in that position (as if I’m wearing heels), and throughout this insane cramping, I experience intense pain. There have been times I’ve pulled over to the side of the road until in subsided. Now that I pray, it lessens a lot quicker. I always get irritated when it happens though…always.
Well, by the time I reached the field, it had went away but left a memory of when I was a stripper. I ignored it and sat down with Veronica and Corrie, and we started talking, praying, and just spending time together.
At one point, I was sitting in a chair: Veronica was on my left, playing the guitar and singing, and Corrie was on my right and said, “Can I rub oils on your feet?” I was in shock and told her why.
Because of dancing, I have very rough, calloused feet. I told her about it, and she said, “So,” so I let her. This precious woman started rubbing oils and lotion on my feet, one at a time. As she was rubbing these calloused, dirty feet, she spoke of my beauty and how I reminded her of Mary Magdalene. I was so overwhelmed…so honored. I still can’t believe she touched my feet, and it didn’t even phase her. I had worship to my left, a foot rub to my right, while watching flag football and hearing about my beauty. Wow!
If I didn’t need to get the kids to bed, I would write more, but as it is now, I’m beginning to cry. She rubbed my feet. She rubbed my feet. You have no idea what that did to me. She rubbed my feet.
