What if there didn’t need to be a “process” to be free? It’s funny: I’ve always been told I needed to go through a process to be freed from anything, but nowhere in the bible does it tell me that. So, what if there could be a way to be freed spontaneously, in the moment, by grabbing hold of Truth where lies had taken hold…now, THAT sounds more like the bible and what I’ve been witnessing lately.

In the past few weeks, I’ve talked with two friends who’ve been going to church for years, closer to God than ever, but wondering if there was more, and in talking with them both about different truth from the bible and them seeking God individually, they’ve grabbed hold of a truth that’s changed their lives forever.

This also happens from learning from another how they’ve grabbed hold of God’s truth and lived it. On Friday, something happened inside of me that I will not share in detail but will describe in freedom.

When you’ve lived in the sex industry, there’s a strand of “dirt” that intertwines with your DNA. It’s almost like it’ll be there forever because of what you’ve done in your past, like a reminder of who you were, almost like a punishment because of who you were. Through all the bible studies, church sermons, meetings, etc., this strand remained (so I thought), but that wasn’t the truth.

Our minds can convince us that we’re nothing. Our minds can convince us that no one will ever want us. Our minds will convince us that we’re used, too old, too fat, too bald, but none of that is what God sees; it’s what we’ve been tricked into seeing because we chose to look through the lens of the world instead of the heart of God.

Someone from my past has found me. Someone from my past has seen how I’ve changed, how I’ve been transformed by God, and knowing that this person has seen the new me, it convinced me that I truly am new.

What?! Why did it take the sight of a person to make me believe how free I was?! At times, does man’s opinion rise up above God’s thought of me? Unfortunately…yes, but I believe that’s changed.

To KNOW and BELIEVE that ONLY God’s truth about us matters causes darkness to flee. It cannot exist in His Light. As we believe what His word says, we’re flooded with light, perfect in Him, freed from trauma…from generations…from everything. When His DNA became intertwined with ours, we were freed in that moment; nothing else remained, unless we added it in through believing the enemy’s lies about us.

The only power Satan has is accusations: charges against us that we’re doing something “wrong,” but Jesus died, so we could be made “right” with God, which cancels every accusation. It seems so obvious.

This is another time when I’m really doubting what I’m writing, so I’m going to edit it quickly and post it, before I chicken out. It’s very hard to write in code. I’m an open book, a woman of detail, a woman who likes to unravel lies by explaining the truth I live in every situation, but some things are not meant to be spoken, only believed.

God’s calling His church to be freed at a deeper level than ever, where only His character is known and seen in our lives. If this speaks to you at all, the next time I see you, pull me aside for declarations to be spoken over you. If I never see you, let’s get together. If you’re out of state, let’s chat. If Holy Spirit’s moving, and I believe He is, the time is NOW.

Actually, all you need to do is declare over yourself who you are in His eyes, and watch the negative thoughts leave. God is so good, so amazing, so on-spot!
