I heard a roomful of people
exclaim their excitement
of the world ending
like next week

why
selfish

if one owned a business
went away for a week
with someone in charge
and they did nothing
no books
no sales
no cleaning
what would it be like
when the owner returned

if a couple with a family
went on vacation for a week
with a sitter in charge
who did nothing
no cleaning
no laundry
no talking
what would it be like
when the parents returned

if God sacrificed His Son
gave the keys of the Kingdom
to us to release heaven
and we did nothing
no seeking
no teaching
no destroying
what would it be like
when He returned

people
we’re not ready
WAKE UP
there’s more to be done
out of love

people need hope
people need truth
people need activation
people need freedom

become love
remain selfless
and be a one
who brings heaven to earth
destroying all works of the enemy
so that life may be lived
and not despised
