alone
looking back
instead of forward

for some
it’s their career
or lack there of
having gone to school
or not
struggling to make ends meet
frantically searching for
any way
looking back
instead of forward

there are those alone
wanting to be married
there are those married
wanting to be alone

looking back
trying to undo the past
missing the design
of the present

but just like in the title
looking back
sometimes makes sense
