the reason for a kiss
the comfort of just “being”
together

we feel each other’s warmth
in our embrace

his smile warms my heart
my laugh…his ringtone
when I call

some people are close
but distant
others are distant
but close

we’re close
but apart
only days and miles
between us

I can’t wait for the future

to enjoy the completeness
of being married
