Straight Up Praise

Last night, I grabbed some friends and went to “Straight Up Praise” at the Rock Church in Point Loma, and WOW, was it AMAZING!! I had never been there before and didn’t know what to expect, and the moment I walked in, I knew something was different.

The room was dark, as if they hadn’t turned on the lights yet. In the center of the room, was a cross that was lit up. Circling the cross were staggered chairs, so as people filed in, they sat staggered, not close enough to talk, not next to each other to bump arms or hands…staggered, so each person would have their own intimate time with God. Dark…so there was no worry about hair, makeup, the look on your face while singing…dark…alone with Him to worship.

Until now, I had not been able to flag at the Rock, but before I arrived, Henry had asked if it was okay, and they said, “Yes!” Flagging…at the Rock…the Rock, so for two hours, in the dark, I had one of the most amazing experiences with God, while worshiping with flags. Not only was I allowed to flag but was invited back to join them in wherever they go in whatever event they have. Talk about favor!!

The area where I worshiped was right in front of Albert Nelson and Layne London. Those two BLOW ME AWAY! I’m telling you…every note that Layne plays releases the Holy Spirit and the beat that Albert releases comes straight from heaven. It was such an honor to dance near them, and at the end of the night, I was so sore. For two hours straight, I was dancing in heaven!!

Straight Up Praise happens once a month and should be experienced by all!
