discouragement

I know a man
who became a grandfather
and shortly after
became a father

he can’t understand it
so he drinks
he can’t comprehend it
so he drinks
he can’t get away from it
so he drinks

but it will never change
the timing of his choices
it’ll never change
the order of birth

darkness may have many chains
to hold people in hell
