Claiming Ground

You know, normally, I don’t “make” my kids go to anything at church, but when I heard Dan Mohler was going to be in town, I told Carolyn, “You’re going!” She saw the look in my eyes and said, “Okay,” so last night I took her to hear Dan for the very first time, and she’ll never be the same.

Even without hearing him, she’s been learning his teaching over the past year by listening and watching how I live my life. A little over a year ago, I began watching Dan’s fifty-one day teaching on YouTube, and it has taught me how to become love.

It was so very cool to talk with him last night. He understands and teaches the gospel so simply; it cannot be misunderstood. I was telling him how it was a truth and a freedom that no one will ever take away because it cannot be untaught, like some teachings. It’s so solid…so Jesus. Carolyn took in a lot last night, but what touched her the most was God through prayer before the meeting even began.

A couple years ago, Carolyn had hurt her Achilles tendon, and it never quite healed, only worsened through her knee and hip. Well, last night, Erik Frederickson prayed for her, and she was totally healed.

She came to me crying because through Erik’s prayer, God touched her and took away all her pain. I’ll never forget the look in her eyes. They spoke so loudly, as if to say, “Why me?” She felt the love of God and wasn’t sure how to handle it. She was so grateful, so at peace, so pain free. I always tell her how much she’s worth, but I think last night, she understood it for the first time from God. She’ll never be the same.

Last night, lives were changed. There’s an army rising in San Diego, an army of soldiers freed from sin, an army of believers born again into the image of God, to become love and to love others through God’s heart. There’s an army rising in every state across America, in other countries…other nations. There’s an army rising. Darkness doesn’t stand a chance!

Here’s a thought: with all the mutilated abortion pictures going around…worse was done to Jesus…beyond recognition. He lost His appearance as a man for you to find your identity as a son, as a daughter. Walk in the freedom He died for and live as sons and daughters of God Most High!
