the passion in my heart for God

who used to sleep with countless men to find my worth
who used to drink away who I was only to wake up to who I was
who lived with her kids without knowing their worth
who would mock God by ignoring Him
who wasn’t me at all

I met Jesus in the depths of my heart
learned who I was in the God Who can’t lie

do they even know
what You’ve done
for me
inside of me
through me
inside of You
do they even know

a past without pain
an identity without stain
a freedom that remains
for generations to come

my passion for God
will always overflow
because the blood of the Lamb
and the word of my testimony
will always be known
